Leonard Fournette’s Blazing 40-Yard Dash Redeems Him At The NFL Combine
Leonard Fournette's experience on Day 1 of the NFL combine has had its ups and downs to say the least.
He's taken the scouts and the media on one heck of a roller coaster ride.
Earlier in the day, the former LSU star weighed in heavier than most expected at 24o pounds. Then, he jumped a paltry 28.5 inches for his vertical.
Leonard Fournette showing up at 240 lbs, then having a weak 28.5 inch vertical jump are more red flags after a season with injuries.

Those are not numbers expected from one of the top-ranked running back talents in the 2017 draft. Fournette attributed the weigh-in to "water weight."
But then, Fournette silenced all his critics when he ran the 40-yard dash in a scorching 4.51 seconds!

With a daughter to provide for, Fournette has all the motivation he needs to maintain a high draft stock. He just took some blazing fast steps to make his NFL dream closer to becoming a reality. Keep working Leonard and good luck at the draft!
