Lions’ Lineman Dominic Raiola Admits To Being A Shitty Person

If you've got an ego and you played against the New England Patriots yesterday, you probably had a bad time. The Pats haven't won by less than 22 points in their last four games, including yesterday's 34-9 win against the Lions. New England's final score came with less than two minutes to go, when LeGarrette Blount punched in a touchdown from the 1-yard-line; they gave Blount the rock even though the victory was secured and they could have kneeled three times for the victory.
When the Lions got the ball back, center Dominic Raiola tried to get back at his opponents by diving at the knees of the Pats' Zach Moore. It was painfully obvious:
Now, was running up the score a shitty thing to do? If anything, it only hurts the Pats -- running meaningless plays in garbage time is a good way to injure important players, but that's their prerogative. If the Lions don't want to get blown out... maybe they should have played better?
But what Raiola did was the lowest of the low. This is how you break a guy's leg or tear his ACL. And worst of all, he admitted to it (via the Detroit Free Press):
"I cut him," Raiola said. "We took a knee, so I cut the nose (tackle). They went for six (a touchdown). They went for a touchdown at 2 minutes. They could have took three knees and the game could have been over. It's football. He wants to keep playing football, let's play football. Not a big deal. It's football."
Raiola has a history of being a shithead, but unlike that time he made fun of a marching band for no reason, these actions had potentially career-altering consequences. Expect a fine from the NFL -- and if the Lions have any nuts, they'll cut him too.
#Lions OL Dominic Raiola will not be fined for his antics against the #Patriots, source said.
