Lions Safety Says ‘God Meant For Jordy To Get Hurt’ — Jordy Out For Season
As you may know, the Packers announced today that receiver Jordy Nelson is out for the season -- all they would say in the relaese was that it was "a right knee injury", but it's reportedly a torn ACL.
It's a big blow to the Packers, and somewhat changes the scenario in the NFL North. And according to one opponent, it was all orchestrated by God.
Here's Lions safety Glover Quin, whom I had never heard of before, but claims special knowledge of the the situation. Quin says that Nelson's injury was predestined by the Lord. MLive.com:
"I hated Jordy got hurt, but in my beliefs, and the way I believe, it was -- God meant for Jordy to get hurt," Quin said.
"If he wouldn't have got hurt [on Sunday], if he wouldn't have played in that game, if he wouldn't have practiced anymore, and the next time he walked on the field would have been opening day, I feel like he would have got hurt opening day," Quin said.
And if Nelson hadn't played on opening day? He would have been hit by a taxi, obviously. And if he had stayed home? He would have stepped on a rake. You get the picture.
Hey, the Lord had his reasons.

Man, that was more Old Testament than New. The Lord has absolutely no chill.
