Man Wrecks Face In Failed Attempt For Free Tom Brady Slippers: Brady Comes To Rescue
Being a Tom Brady fan in New England is more or less a religious calling, as proven on Wednesday by a guy named Luke Barosky.
Brady announced a promotion earlier this week on Facebook, in which he would sign three pairs of his used Uggs slippers and hide them somewhere in Boston. Brady then posted hints on where to find them. Bad idea? Certainly! Random Patriots fans in a free-for-all for Brady-signed items in the rowdiest city in the nation is something that should have been cleared by the Pentagon.
But it wasn't, and at least one fan (allegedly) paid the price. Barosky claimed on Facebook that while dashing to find the slippers, he fell, cut his face and lost a tooth. And ended up with no slippers. Sad Trombone.
But Brady happened to see his post of woe, and rode to the rescue.
He asked Barosky to send photo proof of his injuries, and he'd send him the slippers he craved. Barosky did, and Brady came through.
It's a Festivus miracle.
The cynic in me says that this is all fake, that Barosky invented his injuries and this story. But the holidays in me say it's all perfectly fine -- that it's the season of joy and giving, and what's a little Christmas fraud when the big payoff is nothing more than slippers?
Anyway, Happy Holidays -- even if your footwear is not signed by a Patriots player.
