Manziel’s Girlfriend Heard Saying ‘He Hit Me’ In Dash Cam Video
Colleen Crowley either tried to jump out of a moving car and sustained marks on her arm when Johnny Manziel reached over to grab her, or he hit her during the a tussle over his cellphone. That's the best we can make of the situation right now. Crowley initially claimed the latter was true when police pulled over Manziel's Nissan on a country road in Avon, Ohio, last Monday. She has since rescinded that account.
"He's like, he hit me a couple times," she can be heard telling police in the dash cam video. "While you were in the car?" the officer responded. "Yes, but please don't make that...please don't," she begged, insinuating that she he did in fact strike her, but she didn't want that information to get out.
Manziel had admitted to drinking earlier in the day, though police did not suspect he was drunk when they spoke with him.
Crowley explained to police that she began throwing things out of the car because she wanted him to stop (he wouldn't), which contrasts with Manziel's account that she began throwing things out of the car because she was mad that he wouldn't show her his phone while he was getting a call. Either way this story reflects poorly on Manziel, who's quickly running out of strikes as a backup quarterback for the Cleveland Browns (who don't need any more distractions).
