March Madness Selection Show Wasn’t Long Enough, NFL Network Aims To Pass It
The Spring owner's meetings in the NFL are underway. It's where a bunch of abusrdly rich millionaires are in stuffed in a room figuring out how to make even money. Sure they add a couple of rule changes here and there, but it's mostly about adding more revenue.
This year on the agenda is voting on three future Super Bowl locations. It's literally just a vote from the owners and then an announcement by Goodell. You get the results on Twitter instantly. But the NFL Network has you covered. Okay, that makes sense, the league's network covering the owner's meetings. Having a half hour of live coverage taking you inside the voting room so you can see it happen. We are cool with that. Wait, it's not a half hour of coverage? It's FOUR HOURS of coverage?
So the NFL is really having a four hour Superbowl selection show? lol

Oh yeah that's true. We get to see three secret votes in FOUR HOURS. We like Andrew Siciliano and Sam Wyche plenty, but how the hell do you expect them to make this interesting for four hours? We know the results. Atlanta has Super Bowl 53, Miami has Super Bowl 54, LA has Super Bowl 55. Now what? What analysis is there to give? That Tampa Bay sucks? That we should feel bad for Tom Benson and New Orleans? That we saw Robert Kraft and Roger Goodell talking, so maybe they are BFFs again. We appreciate the insight, but honestly, we'd rather watch their numerous countdown shows instead of this coverage.
(And yes, we get it that there are 2390 other channels, but it's been on in the background.)
