Mein Gott, Here’s The Seahawks’ Winning Drive Broadcast In German
We've all seen and heard the wonder of an NFL play broadcast in Spanish, and now, this. Seeing this sequence from Sunday's NFC Wild Card game between Seattle and Minnesota is just the tonic I needed for a Monday.
But more importantly, when it comes to sports broadcasting, why is every other language better than ours? (Answer: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman). Bigger question: how much would you pay to hear Marv Albert call a game in Swedish?

There is actually no better language for an NFL broadcast than German. Football lends itself to a sort of military rhythm ... marching down the field, attacking, conquering large swaths of land. As George Carlin said, the object of football is for the quarterback, otherwise known as the field general, to be on target with his aerial assault, riddling the defense with deadly accuracy and long bombs. What could be more German than that?
