Mike Francesa Destroys Jets GM John Idzik After Team Cuts Presser Short
If the New York media expected Jets general manager John Idzik to have anything enlightening to say about the team's horrendous 2014 so far, they were like everyone who has had to watch a Jets game this season: disappointed. Idzik apparently didn't show enough frustration with his shitty team, and the press conference was cut short after just 20 minutes of platitudes.
If there's ever a time to listen to Mike Francesa, it's when a New York sports team is underachieving. At 1-7, the Jets are underachieving on every level. So in the void left by Idzik's early exit, listen to Francesa go in on the former Seahawks executive, who he says "was never in charge of a pick in his life" and should put his house up for sale because all he can do is "get the bus there on time." Watch:
You thought he was done, didn't you? Nah, it continued after the break -- Francesa gets more personal as he goes, describing Idzik as underwhelming and clueless. He doesn't go easy on the team either, saying that "playing like a Jet" must mean committing a penalty, fumbling the ball or dropping the ball -- and that Jet Nation is "42,000 empty seats." Ouch.
"YOU NEED TO BE FINISHED." Perfect.
