Let’s get some things straight, right off the bat.
1) Adam Beasley seems like a decent human being.
2) He is a journalist who writes about sports.
3) He recently published an article detailing former Dolphins CB Brent Grimes’ financial troubles.
4) There’s nothing wrong with eating someone’s ass.
K, now that that’s settled, let’s get to the details of this vulgar little anecdote about the 2016 NFL season. Via The Miami Herald…
The Grimes family owes $191,471 to the Internal Revenue Service. That’s according to a lien on their Davie home obtained by the Miami Herald, which was filed in Broward County Thursday.
The document stipulates that the Grimes family is in arrears from 2014, and that “[the IRS has] made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid.” The lien is on their five-bedroom, 4 1/2-bath home, which they bought for $1.2 million in early 2014.
Beasley wasn’t done taking shots at the Grimeses, as he managed to sneak in all sorts of other examples of their sordid history in the public sphere — of varying mediums — which we urge you to check out in it’s entirety (here). As you might expect, the Grimes family didn’t take kindly to their dirty laundry being aired by a prominent, nationally circulated newspaper, so Miko — the militarized wing of their family — took to Twitter to subtly voice her displeasure.
No word yet on whether Mr. Beasley will take her up on the offer.
