MUST WATCH: Todd Gurley Is Now Hurdling Full Grown Men With Ease
November 15 / Tanya Ray Fox / SportsGrid
Todd Gurley went from being an unproven NFL commodity to one of its elite running backs so quickly that it's hard to really pinpoint when it happened. But it undoubtedly did happen, as did this ridiculous move from Gurley early in the first quarter in the Rams game against the Bears on Sunday.
That is Gurley hurdling Antrel Rolle like he's a speed bump; which the 6'0", 206 lb. safety is most decidedly not. This is just the latest play to be added to Gurley's already lengthy highlight reel, and another reason why the Rams may finally have the running game they were supposed to have during all those years with Steven Jackson.
Coming into Sunday's game, Gurley had amassed 664 yards on 118 carries for four touchdowns along with 88 yards receiving in just six games played this season.
If this is the kind of stuff that he can do in his rookie NFL season coming off a major injury last year, then the sky is truly the limit for the league's most promising young star. It's also probably not the last time we will witness Gurley hurdle a fellow NFL player, so I say that we should come up with a name for the move. My vote is for "Gurdle". When Gurley hurdles someone, it shall be henceforth referred to as a Gurdle.
