NBC’s Peter Pan Live Got Trounced By Thursday Night Football, Plus Sunday Viewing Maps
It's a good thing that the NFL wasn't around at the turn of the 20th century when JM Barrie wrote Peter Pan and the play was making the rounds in theaters -- it never would have gotten off the ground. NBC's (awful) TV movie version Peter Pan Live got pretty good ratings this week, but was trounced by Thursday Night Football's Bears vs. Cowboys.
Actually Christopher Walken's Captain Hook had a lot in common with the Bears' Matt Forte from that game -- wooden, past his prime and eventually eaten by a crocodile.
NFL Net's 8.0 overnight rating is well ahead of NBC's Peter Pan Live, which had a 5.9 overnight rating.

But on to today's festivities. Not only is Northern California and northwestern Nevada caught in a blistering drought, but now they will be left thirsty in today's late game NFL TV viewing. Enjoy 49ers-Raiders today, folks, while the rest of the nation gets refreshing, cold Seattle at Philadelphia, on the Fox late game.
