Ndamukong Suh Quit Playing Baseball Because It Was Too Rough
Detroit Lions defensive tackle and 2010 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year Ndamukong Suh has been described as an "all-around badass" who holds the record for the hardest hit ever on ESPN's Sports Science.
Yet the player who last season was fined $7,500 for a brutal takedown of Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme only turned to football after baseball proved to be too dangerous a sport.
Suh, who attended yesterday's Mets-Tigers game as a guest of Justin Verlander, told the story to WDIV's Katrina Hancock:
It's unclear how one breaks their nose playing T-ball, but if it led Suh to his extraordinary football career, we're all winners.
