NY Giants’ Nat Buhre, Whose Cousin Was San Bernardino Mass Shooting Victim, Speaks Out

New York Giants strong safety Nat Buhre's cousin was one of the fatalities in the San Bernardino shootings, and on Thursday he spoke out about the tragedy in a series of tweets. Like mosty of us, he's more shocked and confused than anything else.
The true terror is that this keeps happening. I still can't believe it. Take a moment to think of the families hurting right now.
Many say that we're powerless to do anything about incidents like this because there are too many politicians walking around with NRA cash stuffed in their pockets. But there is something bigger and more powerful than the NRA, and its called the NFL.
What if more NFL players spoke out for gun control? What if the stars actually threatened to boycott games until sensible gun control legislation is passed? It might get done in a month. Imagine the University of Missouri protest on a much larger scale: that cause took off when the Mizzou football team joined in. What of the NFL tossed its helmet into the fray?
What if you had no football on Sundays? What if your fantasy team was stripped and toothless?
What if it came down to a choice between your assault rifle, or your Super Bowl party? OK America, choose.
