Oakland Thinks It’s Going To Win Tonight
Coming into the game with less wins than Charles Manson has fiancés, the 0-10 Raiders looked to be easy pickings for the 7-3 Chiefs. But you know, there's something about the NFL and underdogs, and on Any Given Sunday (love you, Al Pacino!), any team can beat any other. And sometimes on a Thursday as well. Just take a look at this 90-yard scamper by Latavius Murray, his second TD of the night (and the first two rushing TDs the Chiefs have given up all year - bet you sat him this week, didn't you?). A great use of TV technology just showed he maintained a speed of about 20 mph, which would have gotten him a ticket in a school zone.

Thanks to a steady rain and a motivated defense, the Raiders are leading the Chiefs 14-0, in the second quarter. As unlikable as the franchise is, tonight's the night you should root for the Raiders to break their 16-game losing streak (unless you live in Kansas City, of course). On a night when Ray Guy is being inducted into the Hall of Fame, let's all say it together: Just win, Baby!

Of course, now that I've said all this out loud, the Raiders have fumbled a punt on their own 11, Murray is out with a probable concussion, and Oakland has been flagged for running into the punter. Perhaps this will be a Thursday night game worth watching after all. It's 14-3 at the half (their first halftime lead of the year).
