OMG: Tom Brady Will Be At The Pats’ Preseason Opener
Tom Brady, who is known by some as "the guy who throws footballs" and not just "the guy who appeals suspensions about footballs," will, indeed, be playing football tonight. What you can get with a winning smile, a winning record and an empire worth hundreds of millions of dollars to spend on legal services. I'll tell ya.
The NFL's initial four-game suspension of Brady -- which is currently being contested in a real, live United States District Court -- allowed him to participate in all team activities outside of the first four games of the regular season. As you might expect, good ol' Tommy Braids (who has patently denied any knowledge of any wrongdoing in regards to the illegal under-inflation of footballs) is taking full advantage of that fact, even though the suspension has been lifted until US District Judge Richard Berman issues a ruling.
T-Bone let the world know that he'll be back in a Patriots uniform at Gillette Stadium tonight via Facebook -- his prefered method of communication.
Tonight's Packers-Patriots preseason opener airs nationally at 7:30 p.m. EST on The NFL Network. At no point will anyone mention DeflateGate. Not once. In fact, we're willing to venture a guess that TV cameras won't so much as pan to the Patriots' sideline, let alone zoom in on Brady for literally minutes at a time. No way. Can't imagine it.
