Pat McAfee Recovered His Own Onside Kick [GIF]
It's rare to find something truly revolutionary in professional sports these days. Most everything has been tried and tried again to the point that there's little originality in play-calling these days. Sure, you get the occasional "play dead the fake punt" gem that fails miserably, but it's that rare successful trick play that eludes us these days.
Until tonight. Colts kicker Pat McAfee turned heads early in this week's addition of TNF (Terrible No-Good Foolishness), alternatively called Thursday Night Football, but we use the word "football" loosely as a description of the game we watch on this day every week.
McAfee lined up as though it was a regular kickoff, booted a hopping ball straight forward, ran 12 yards, turned around, and caught it himself. He recovered his own onside kick. Talk about revolutionary.
How do you not put in the hands team against this dude for the rest of time?
