Shannon Sharpe Addresses His Beef With The Pats On Boston Sports Radio Show

Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe and "Pats Nation" have been at each other's throats for the last three months, in part because his Denver Broncos have owned the New England Patriots this season, but also because neither Sharpe nor Pats fans want to take the high road. Both parties have relished the opportunity to hurl personal insults at each other over Twitter -- and that extends even to Boston-area journalists.
Enter Tom E. Curran: Comcast Sportsnet New England Pats insider and active defender of Tom Brady's domain. After Sharpe went on the offensive following the Broncos 20-18 AFC Championship win, Curran decided to step in and throw some shade on behalf of the six-state region claimed by the NFL team he covers.
Wednesday morning, Sharpe went on 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Toucher and Rich" program to clarify that his beef is not with the New England Patriots organization -- which "Pats Nation" appears to think it is -- but with "Pats Nation" itself.
“I got no problem what they have been able to do over the last 16 years with coach Belichick, Mr. Kraft the owner, and Tom Brady. It’s undeniable … What they’ve done is not in question. But when they lose, don’t make excuses," he said.
"Come on people, just give the team credit that beat you."
