Report: Adrian Peterson Accused Of Abusing Another Child
UPDATE: According to TMZ, Peterson was cleared of any criminal charges related to this incident because the head wound came from his son hitting the carseat while being disciplined, not directly from Peterson. That doesn't mean that he's clear from punishment by the league, but he won't be facing any additional charges.
Just when it seemed like things couldn't get any worse for one of the NFL's best running backs, Adrian Peterson has now been accused of abusing another child of his by the four-year-old's mother. On the same day that he apologized for the first incident in which he has been charged with felony child abuse, it now seems that he disciplined another son by hitting him in the head and leaving a scar.
This is a picture that followed the alleged abuse, according to the child's mother:

She also provided a text message exchange with Peterson to KHOU-TV:
Mother: "What happened to his head?"
Peterson: "Hit his head on the Carseat."
Mother: "How does that happen, he got a whoopin in the car."
Peterson: "I felt so bad. But he did it his self."
Mother: "What did you hit him with?"
Peterson: "Be still n take ya whooping he would have saved the scare (scar). He aight (all right)."
The Minnesota Vikings said today that the running back will play next Sunday against the New Orleans Saints as the legal process plays out. We'll see if this new set of accusations will make a difference in that decision.
