The most interesting thing about this Geno Smith fight scenario so far -- other than the NY Daily News nicknaming him 'Broadway Jaw' -- is that the argument with Ikemefuna Enemkpali may have been over money. Specifically, according to the Daily News, a $600 debt that Smith owed Enemkpali for air fare and a limo.

According to a source the altercation was over $600 in airfare and limo fees that Enemkpali covered so Smith would attend his charity event in Pflugerville, Tx. Smith's brother's best friend was killed in a motorcycle accident the day before the event, so Geno didn't attend, the source said.
However, when players reported to camp two weeks ago, Smith offered to pay the $600. The source said Smith had not yet paid, and Enemkpali wanted his money.
It turns out that Enemkpali was arrested in 2011, when he played for Louisiana Tech, on charges of battery on a police officer. He also released a statement this afternoon.
"I apologize to the Jets organization, coaches, teammates and fans. Geno and I let our frustration get the best of us, but I should have just walked away from the situation. I deeply regret and apologize for my actions. It was never my intention to harm anyone. I appreciate the opportunity I had with the Jets."
