RGIII Blames Intern For ‘Liking’ Derogatory Dan Snyder Instagram Post
It's always the intern who pays the price. Robert Griffin III has thrown a poor unpaid lackey under the bus, blaming him/her for the controversy in which he allegedly "liked" an Instagram post which trashed Daniel Snyder and the Washington team. Now the intern is riding backwards on a horse while wearing an oversized papier-mâché head, which you'll totally understand if you're a Mad Max Thunderdome fan.
As seen below, someone posted a screed on Instagram calling Washington owner Daniel Snyder a "Sorry-ass team owner", among other things. It was "liked" by RGIII, on his official account. That rang a few bells.
RGIII then took to Instagram, at 1 a.m., to disavow any involvement. He's been recently demoted to the team's possibly No. 3 QB spot, and doesn't need this shit. That's the gist of it.
I just wanted to set the record straight on this one. I did not "like" that IG post ridiculing our team. I have not been social media active consistently for awhile now and am ultra-focused on working to get back on the field and trying to help this team. One of our interns who helps with Instagram liked the post. As soon as I was made aware of it, it was immediately unliked. That is not how I feel and I appreciate your understanding. #HTTR

Here's the original post he allegedly "liked."
So, does this intern actually exist? The answer is unclear. If RGIII actually did it, that's the most passive-aggressive takedown of his team that I can imagine -- and whatever his faults, RGIII is more direct than that. That's his personality and his style of play, which is why he's always getting hurt in the first place.
At the same time, however, I take great delight in imagining him sitting at his computer late at night. "liking" Grumpy Cat videos and and rips on his owner.
