Rihanna Lashes Out At CBS For Cutting Her Thursday Night Football Song (UPDATE: CBS Removes Her Permanently)

CBS has cut Rihanna from its Thursday Night Football opening this week, and every week, following the tweet you see above. Apparently the network didn't appreciate the singer's "fuck you", and has decided to edit her voice from the song "Run This Town", which will be featured during the opening segment to Thursday's game between the Falcons and Buccaneers.
Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” CBS senior vice president of communications Jen Sabatelle said in a statement. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”
The network seemed to be particularly sensitive to the fact that Rihanna was herself a victim of domestic abuse, at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown. In 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault and served probation. CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said last week:
It’s important to realize we are not overreacting to this story but it is as big a story as has faced the NFL,” McManus told SI.com from Baltimore Thursday afternoon. “We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage. A lot of the production elements we wanted in the show are being eliminated because of time or tone.”
So Rihanna fired this salvo this morning:
CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, Fuck you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this.
