Rounding Up Celebrity Sports Media Takes On The Patriots’ Super Bowl Win
Super Bowl LI will probably be remembered as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's crowning achievement. After being outplayed, out-coached and out-classed for the first 40 minutes of the game, the Patriots were down 28-3 to the Falcons.
The game was over. No one had ever come back from a deficit greater than 10 points, let alone 25. It was done.
Except it wasn't.
Somehow, 31 unanswered points later, the Patriots had achieved the unimaginable. They'd completed the greatest comeback in the history of the NFL to win their fifth ring in 15 years, and everyone around the country had to sit back and reassess their feelings about Brady, Belichick and the Patriots.
There's no changing people's minds about the likability of the team. If you hated them before Super Bowl LI, you for sure still hate them today. However there has been a shift in the world of sports hot takes, and unless you are a Patriots fan, you're probably not going to like it.
Not only do most of the most recognizable names and faces in sports agree almost unanimously now that Brady is the G.O.A.T. but many are also contending that the Patriots dynasty is the most impressive in all of America sports.
