Santa Panics, Flees Elaborate Seahawks Christmas Light Display
The drawback to constructing possibly the country's most enormous and elaborate home Christmas light display? It takes three months of your life to pull it off. Anthony Mish of Kirkland, WA, started decorating his home the day after Halloween, and says he still isn't done.
It's a tribute to Seattle sports teams, with an emphasis on the Seahawks. Local kids are scared that the whole thing will scare away Santa, but adults love it -- Mish told King-5 News that he expects more than 20,000 people to cruise by to see it before Dec. 25. (If you want to go witness it live, it's on NE 100th St., in Kirkland.).
How many lights? Only 150,000. The show begins every hour. I pity their neighbors, actually.
The inside of Mish's home is decorated with several Christmas villages, waterfalls, ponds, a train, and is covered in fake snow. That's open to the public as well.
Because if waterfalls and ponds don't remind you of Christmas, what does?
