SnapFace & InstaChat: 13 More App Screw Ups In Honor Of Bill Belichick
January 16 / Tanya Ray Fox / SportsGrid
Patriots coach Bill Belichick has spent the better part of the last twenty years not giving a shit about what other people are doing. That complete and utter lack of interest in other people's lives, jobs, hobbies, activities or general and overall well-being means that he has put forth zero effort to interact on or understand social media.
He has also shown a penchant for using his apathy to bait the media into a reaction.
So when WEEI inquired on Monday about the Facebook Live video that Antonio Brown had posted of Mike Tomlin's expletive-laden postgame speech in the locker room, Belichick was all too happy to employ his favorite red herring.
Belichick has certainly been informed by now that there is no such thing as SnapFace. He's been using the term 'SnapFace' since 2015. Someone - his kids, his girlfriend, a reporter, anyone - has told him that there is no such platform.
The only reason Belichick's still using it is because it's a subtle way to power play the media he despises, whose daily existence revolves around the very apps and social media websites that he finds to be so useless. So in order to help us all take the power back, I've developed a comprehensive list of other app mashups and screw ups that Belichick may or may no use in the future. Feel free to keep them handy in case he tries to throw one your way.
