Good God, are we really closing in on the 20th anniversary of South Park? The show that kicks convention in the ass even though the characters’ legs never move, which was just renewed in July for another three seasons, begins its 19th season on Wednesday. The “A” plot will revolve around Caitlyn Jenner, according to a Comedy Central press release.
This should be good.
NEW YORK, September 14, 2015 – The boys express their utmost respect for Caitlyn Jenner in the season premiere of “South Park” titled “Stunning and Brave” on Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
There is a new principal at the helm of South Park Elementary. He forces the boys to confront the damage they’ve done through their history of racism and unconscious bias. It is the most stunning and brave South Park ever.
But there will also be gratuitous Tom Brady, as one would imagine. Cartman is given four days detention, and vows to “go Tom Brady” on the administration. Here’s a trailer from tomorrow’s episode.
It’s become somewhat of a South Park theme in recent years to start off a new season with a sports-related episode. In 2014, for instance, they began with a Washington/Dan Snyder storyline.
