Stephen A. Smith Thinks Dez Bryant Wouldn’t Yell At White Reporters Like He Yells At Black Reporters
Stephen A. Smith rants are notoriously insincere. The man is a living, breathing, trivial sports controversy over-reaction factory. But Friday morning's diatribe about the way black athletes treat black media members seemed oddly real. It didn't look quite like the pro wrestling character that stomps around the "First Take" set every day from 10-1 p.m. EST.
"It's something that is going to make the world uncomfortable, but there isn't an African-American reporter that would disagree," Smith started out. "I will be applauded for what I'm about to say: we are held at a different standard."
Dez Bryant recently blew up on the media inside the Cowboys locker room, which Smith noticed was directed at only black reporters. Bryant also tweeted that a reporter called him the n-word.

"I didn't see him go at any white reporters. I'm just telling you as a black reporter, as a reporter who happens to be black, I noticed how you went at Jean Jaques and the other dude...not to say anybody would deserve it but I didn't see him going at an Ed Werder or anybody like that. I just noticed."
Ed Werder's gotta feel good about getting pulled into this conversation.
