The Best Super Bowl Ad You Never Saw Includes ‘Trump’, Joe Jacoby
As Mike Tyson and Will Ferrell have taught us, some of the best Super Bowl ads are local ones that hardly anyone sees. Here's Cypress Air, Heating and Cooling Systems, an Alexandria, VA.-based company whose Super Bowl ad on Sunday was only seen in the Washington, D.C. area.
IMO, it was one of the top commercials of the game.
So that's Donald Trump impersonator John Di Domenico, who has done The Donald on Conan, The Tonight Show and many others. He's joined by Joe Jacoby, former offensive lineman for Washington who won three Super Bowls before retiring in 1993. Jacoby was one of 15 finalists for the latest NFL Hall of Fame class this year, but didn't make the cut.
You really can't go wrong with a spot-on Trump impression, a joke about Russia, and a local sports hero in your gas fireplace ad. It was certainly better than last year's effort by Cypress, which included a guy with a bloody hand yelling in pain because he chopped off three fingers cutting wood. (This is true).
