The Campaign To Get The Beastie Boys To Play The Super Bowl Halftime Show Begins Now
Critics have derided Super Bowl halftime shows in the post-Janet Jackson era as being uninspired, boring, tired, or, in the case of the most recent Black Eyed Peas performance, just plain weird. We speculated in February who might perform at the upcoming Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, (and Yahoo! Sports is pushing to bring back Janet) but there's a dedicated group of fans campaigning to make the Super Bowl halftime show ILL -- and they have a promotional video showing what it might look like.
The "Beastie Boys Super Bowl 2012 Halftime Show Yes Please" group on Facebook has intentions of getting Mike D, MCA, and Ad-Rock to Indianapolis, and has created a video to help us all see what it might look like:
