This Cheap Shot On Nick Foles Started A Rather Spirited Brawl In Philly-Washington Game
It's 27-all in Philadelphia in a pretty entertaining game, and Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is still alive and playing after taking this block by Washington's Chris Baker following an interception. The Eagles' Jason Peters went after Baker in retaliation, leading to the skirmish you see below. Both Baker and Peters were ejected.
UPDATE: Eagles up 34-27 with 7:34 remaining.
UPDATE: Eagles win, 37-34.
UPDATE: Baker, to the Washington Post: “I was doing what I was taught, and that’s to go get a block,” said Baker, who was ejected after the play. “I did not look to see if it was the quarterback. All I saw was someone going towards the ball, and I got my head in front and lowered my shoulder, which is a legal football move.”
