Warning, You Will Feel Emotions: Tim Tebow Hospital Visit Reduces Kid To Tears
So in case you're wondering what Tim Tebow is doing these days, he's still busy being a hero.
Nathanial Nelson, 13, was diagnosed with a rare (for his age) form of cancer last week -- a type of leukemia usually only suffered by people 65 and older. The Jacksonville, FL kid who played youth football and is an avid Florida Gators fan, said in an interview with a local TV station that he thought most about two things -- helping other kids with cancer get through the trauma, and worrying about his mom. "I don't like to see her in pain," he told First Coast News.
Tebow heard about Nathaniel, and decided to pay a visit to Wolfson Children's Hospital, where he was beginning chemo treatments. And when Nathaniel looked up and saw Tebow enter the room, the kid lost it.
Having the power to impact someone's life just by showing up? That's an amazing blessing and a big responsibility, and Tebow handles it as well or better than any athlete I've ever seen. As Charlie Sheen might say, "Winning."
