Time To Drop Darrelle Revis Off At His Island
Darrelle Revis's head and ego has officially gotten so big it's time to leave him on his own island.
According to a statement released by the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety, the seven-time Pro Bowler has charges pending with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of robbery and one count of conspiracy. He could also face pending charges for making terrorist threats.
The statement that was released that said police got a notice at 2:43 a.m. Sunday in Pittsburgh that two men were allegedly knocked unconscious by Revis.

Revis was a longtime Jets star before he essentially betrayed the city of New York when he fled to New England to win a Super Bowl with the Patriots after. Then he came back and Jets fans welcomed him with open arms like nothing had ever happened. Apparently he's a forgivable person, so that might be a plus for the potential court case against him.
These legal complications along with a decline in his play last season could foreshadow the end of Revis's football playing days. The incident could also ruin his legacy and overshadow the great career he's had.
With the cornerback's whopping salary cap hit next season of $15.3 million, the Jets should act now before things get out of hands and part ways with Revis. After his terrible performance last season, it looked like the Jets might have released or traded him this offseason anyway.
This incident might just make general manager Mike Maccagnan's decision a lot easier. Revis, once an amazing player to watch, is now stranded on his island by himself.
