Today's NFL Viewing Guide: Let's See Who Gets Screwed For Broncos-Patriots Game
Let's see what's going on in the NFL on CBS this afternoon. Oh look, the Broncos are playing the Patriots at 4:25 p.m. (ET), and everybody in the nation will get to watch, regardless of whether they have DirecTV, and NFL Sunday Ticket or not.
Um, wait ... did I say everyone? The poor saps in the blue area get Raiders-Seahawks. We all know that game will be super compelling, especially for the folks in the southeastern tip of California and southwestern tip of Arizona. Everyone in red gets Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady.
Sorry Raiders fans, but we suspect that even you will be heading to the local sports bar by halftime -- more for the bar than the satellite TV.
So, why wasn't this game flexed to prime time? It was eligible for it. The answer is shrouded in mystery, although I suspect it had something to do with CBS really wanting it. And the NFL wasn't too concerned, because Manning has already broken the TD record, and tonight's Ravens-Steelers game should also be a ratings hit.
Oh, by the way, enjoy a generous helping of your favorite announcer today, Broncos fans. Yep, Phil Simms is back.
