Whether Tom Brady has a mastery of his emotions and is capable of sounding authentically flummoxed when asked about the Patriots' potentially under-inflated AFC Championship game balls, or he's actually flummoxed, it's hard to imagine he had anything to do with any rule breaking/bending/deflating in Sunday's rainy blowout of the Indianapolis Colts.
Most Mondays, Tom Brady calls in to The Dennis and Callahan Morning Show on New England's WEEI station and recaps the team's performance. Today he had to address the NFL's investigation into the psi/weight of the Patriots' footballs, which may have been deflated to make them easier to throw/catch in the slippery conditions.
"[Genuine sounding laughter] I think I've heard it all at this point. Oh god."
We're sticking with the kookie weather explanation until the NFL comes out and says something definitive about the Patriots' footballs. Until then, let's all just take a chill pill and go back to business as usual: overreacting to Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck's underwhelming performances.
