Twitter Descends On Darren Rovell For Slamming The Salvation Army

Either Darren Rovell is completely tone deaf or he thinks the Salvation Army is an actual army, because holy hell, I'm having trouble figuring out why this man called them out for shamelessly plugging their charity after Ezekiel Elliott jumped into one of their donation pots Sunday afternoon.
Like, for real dude? "Not subtle"? They feed/clothe/shelter the poor and you (of all people) are going after them for not being tactful enough?
Jesus. Darren Rovell strikes me as the kind of person who frequently offends heavier women by asking about their pregnancies. Just stunning.
He tried to rescue his attempt at publicly shamming a charitable organization with some of his proprietary/unamazing business anecdotes, citing the cost of the TV exposure and the tax implications for Elliott's fine, but it didn't matter. Rovell had already managed to piss off the entire internet -- including ,the saints over at the Salvation Army, who owned his obtuse ass for being such an impressively huge dipshit.
@darrenrovell Our goal is to serve 58 million meals in the U.S. this year. No time to be subtle.
