Victor Cruz Posts Message Explaining That He’s Done For The Season
The New York Giants have had a lot to digest over the last 18 hours. Between the last second field goal that kept the New England Patriots undefeated season intact -- which resembled so many of the Giants' heartbreaking losses this year -- and now news that slot wide receiver Victor Cruz's return will have to wait until 2016, it's safe to say Tom Coughlin has had better mornings.
“This hurts, you know, mainly because I worked so hard to come back from the patella tendon surgery and fought hard, day-in and day-out — rehab, physical work, strength work — and I felt like I was back to 100-percent,” an emotional Cruz said on Bleacher Report’s Uninterrupted vlog service. “And then the calf happens and it’s tough — it’s a tough thing to go through.”
"It's out of my control. There's certain things that just happen to you body that you can't explain but I'm excited for the next chapter."
Thank you to the real fans that understand how difficult this is and have faith in me and wish me a full ... https://t.co/hCnafpllhz

Cruz hasn't played since going down with the knee injury in Week 6 of the 2014 season, meaning he'll have missed 26 games by the time he's back on the field.
