VIDEO: First TD OF Seahawks Season Is On An Epic Punt Return From Rookie
The Seahawks are actually struggling pretty mightily in their season opener against the Rams right now, but their decision to trade three picks in the 2015 draft to Washington to move up and take Tyler Lockett out of Kansas State at 69 overall is definitely already paying off for them.
Here's Lockett scoring the Seahawks first touchdown of the season.
That certainly is the kind of first impression than any rookie playing for the reigning NFC Champs would want to make. With that 57 yard return Lockett became the first NFL rookie since the 49ers' Otis Amey in 2005 to score a touchdown on his first career punt return in a season opener.
Unfortunately that incredible touchdown hasn't done much to kick start their offense in St. Louis as they've been outscored 14-3 in the third quarter so far.
