VIDEO: Jay Cutler Suffers Injury In The Most Cutler Way Possible
The Bears have been engaged in quite a battle with the Cardinals at Soldier Field this afternoon, and while the Cardinals have had the edge for most of the game, the Bears looked to be holding their own.
That is, until Jay Cutler went down with an injury in a way that really only he could; by throwing a pick-six and then injuring himself trying to make a tackle.
God damnit, Cutler. It's never a good thing to see an athlete get hurt and have to leave the game, especially when they've actually been playing pretty well. Before throwing the pick-six and suffer the injury that sent him packing to the locker room, Cutler was an incredible 8/9 for 120 yards and a touchdown and a 116.2 passer rating.
Plus, the thing about this injury is that as much as people want to make fun of him for the way the whole disaster of a play went down, it's pretty admirable that he tried to save his team from his mistake by stepping up to make a tackle. It probably wasn't the most intelligent football decision, but at least he gave it a shot.
That doesn't matter to Stephen A. Smith though, since he apparently thinks it's hilarious when athletes suffer injury.
Wow, way to kick a guy while he's down; especially when he's got a wife and kids who actually are hoping that he's okay. What a class act.
