VIDEO: This Kind Of Thing Is Probably Why Tom Brady Yells So Much
It's no secret that the Buffalo Bills would like nothing more than to take the New England Patriots out to a nice seafood dinner and never call them again (if you know what I mean.)
Buffalo has been slowly withering away in the shadow of their AFC rival for the majority of the last fifteen years, so when Rex Ryan showed up with all of his motivational bravado, they were ready and willing to drink the Kool-Aid. And when they got the opportunity to avenge their Week 2 loss to New England - on Monday Night Football, no less - they made the most of it.
Still, there is a pretty thick line between hard-nosed, aggressive football and delivering a completely unnecessary late hit on the other team's best player; which is exactly what Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham did to Tom Brady on Monday Night.
The Bills were never flagged or penalized for that hit.
Now listen, it's not like the referees can catch every single dirty play that happens on the field. And luckily Brady wasn't hurt and was able to continue the drive which culminated in a Stephen Gostkowski touchdown. But is that really the point?
Everybody wants to get on Brady for yelling at his teammates to motivate them on the sidelines and for his extremely emotional responses on the field, both good and bad. But how much of that shit could you take before you started flipping out too?
You know that feeling you get when you stub your toe and then someone asks if you are okay? Generally, everything in your body makes you want to punch them in the face.
Now imagine that you deprive yourself of all delicious foods in this world, work out like a maniac, watch game tape at all hours of the day and devote every part of yourself to being able to playing a game that involves a shit ton of getting hit as it is; and you're damned good at all of it too. Then some idiot comes along and cheap shots you for absolutely no discernable reason other than that they are trying to take all of that away from you.
You'd probably react like this too.
