Week 1 NFL Matchups: Cheerleading And Shit Talking The Late Games
It’s the first NFL Sunday of the regular season and that means fans are deservedly amped the hell up. Today is like Christmas for most football fans. Whether getting ready to watch your favorite team or you have set your fantasy lineup and are tuned into RedZone, everyone right now is in that glorious sweet spot just before the action where anything is possible. Everyone’s Super Bowl aspirations and fantasy football championship wins are still alive, and the excitement is palpable.
Earlier we went through some of the best Twitter banter for the early games. No we move onto your Week 1 late games. Let the Twitter cheerleading and shit-talking begin!
Detroit Lions at San Diego Chargers - 4:05pm FOX
The marquee game for underachieving quarterbacks!
Apparently the Chargers and Lions fans love using cheesy puns. Let me try...
"Hope you're CHARGED up because we ain't LION about kicking your butt!"
New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals - 4:05pm FOX
Day 1 of 'Carson Palmer ACL Countdown 2015'.
Um that voodoo doll legitimately looks like Drew Brees.
Yeah!?... Get all up in that ass, bird gang!
Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos - 4:25pm CBS
It could be the best game of the day, or there could be 10 combined interceptions. #Crapshoot
Basically, Ravens fans are the ultimate buzzkill.
Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders - 4:25pm CBS
If the Ravens at Broncos game is the ceiling for the afternoon games, this one is the floor.
Never though you'd do what?...
You can count any other kind of eggs you want, just not your chicken eggs.
Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 4:25pm CBS
Mariota vs. Winston. It could be future Brady vs. Manning or future Vince Young vs. Matt Leinart!
I have no idea what that means but I might start using it. #RatherWatch2Ants
Lowkey excited = not as angry as others are about having to watch that game rather than the Ravens at Broncos.
