Week 13 Game Inactives And Injury Updates
Packers Inactives - QB Scott Tolzien, WR Jeff Janis, TE Justin Perillo, CB Demetri Goodson, LB Carl Bradford, DT Luther Robinson, C Garth Gerhart
Patriots Inactives - RB James White, LB Chris White, DE Chandler Jones, LS Danny Aiken, OL Cameron Fleming, CB Malcolm Butler, OT Jordan Devey
Falcons Inactives - WR Roddy White, QB Sean Renfree, DT Paul Soliai, CB Robert Alford, LB Tyler Starr, DL James Anderson, OT Jonathan Scott
With Roddy White sidelined, Harry Douglas and Devin Hester should see increased targets. This is a tough matchup for Julio Jones, who will almost certainly draw double coverage with White out of the picture. We recommend you strongly consider benching both Jones and Matt Ryan, who could be in for a difficult day against the Arizona defense, which has 25 sacks and 15 interceptions this season.
Cardinals Inactives - WR Larry Fitzgerald, RB Michael Bush, TE Matthew Mulligan, LB Desmond Bishop, LB Kenny Demens, NT Alameda Ta'amu, DT Ed Stinson
Without Larry Fitzgerald in the lineup, we could see Michael Floyd return to prominence as the WR1. At the very least he should see plenty more targets between the 20s. John Brown is the guy that should see more red zone action, as he is clearly a favorite target for Drew Stanton.
There's your update for the late afternoon games. The only major player we're watching for the prime time game tonight is Julius Thomas. The latest word we have is that the Broncos intend to work him out prior to the game and will make their decision based on how he reacts to the workout. Since we can't make a firm statement one way or the other regarding his status, the wise move is to use just about any other viable TE option available to you. Thomas may play but he's clearly not 100 percent healthy, as of now.
That does it for the early games. We'll be back some time around 3:30 to post the inactives and update any pertinent news for the late afternoon games. Enjoy!!
Giants Inactives - T Justin Pugh, G Adam Snyder, G Brandon Mosley, DE Mathias Kiwanuka, DT Cullen Jenkins, LB Jacquian Williams, CB Jayron Hosley
Steelers Inactives - QB Landry Jones, WR Justin Brown, T Marcus Gilbert, NT Steve McLendon, LB Ryan Shazier, CB B.W. Webb, S Shamarko Thomas
Chargers Inactives - RB Ronnie Brown, WR Dontrelle Inman, G Ryan Miller, DT Ryan Carrethers, DT Damion Square, LB Cordarro Law, LB Andrew Gachkar
Colts Inactives - TE Dwayne Allen, TE Weslye Saunders, T Xavier Nixon, G Lance Louis, G Hugh Thornton, NT Zach Kerr, LB Andy Studebaker
Coby Fleener should see the targets normally sent Dwayne Allen’s way but be forewarned that it doesn’t always work out that way. The matchup with the Redskins is fairly good, as they’ve allowed seven TDs to the position this season.
Rams Inactives - RB Benny Cunningham, G Brandon Washington, G/C Barrett Jones, DE Alex Carrington, DT Ethan Westbrooks, CB Marcus Roberson, DB Lamarcus Joyner
Browns Inactives – TE Jordan Cameron, LB Karlos Dansby, S T. Gipson, CB J. Gilbert, WR Marlon Moore, WR Rodney Smith
No surprise with Cameron here. Gary Barnidge and/or Jim Dray will handle the TE duties but neither is useable for Fantasy purposes.
Panthers Inactives - QB Joe Webb, T David Foucault, G Amini Silatolu, DT Star Lotulelei, DT Micanor Regis, CB James Dockery, S Robert Lester
Titans Inactives - QB Charlie Whitehurst, RB Antonio Andrews, WR Kris Durham, T Taylor Lewan, DL DaQuan Jones, LB Kamerion Wimbley, DB Marqueston Huff
Raiders Inactives - QB Matt McGloin, RB Latavius Murray, WR Denarius Moore, G Tony Bergstrom, DT Stacy McGee, CB Neiko Thorpe, S Jonathan Dowling
It’s too bad about Murray, the Raiders’ best RB right now. We’ll see Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew again but you can’t trust either of them at all for Fantasy use.
Texans Inactives - QB Thaddeus Lewis, WR DeVier Posey, T Jeff Adams, LB Jadeveon Clowney, LB Akeem Dent, CB Kareem Jackson, CB Josh Aubrey
Arian Foster will play and should be active in all leagues in a great rushing matchup.
Saints Inactives - RB Khiry Robinson, WR Robert Meachem, T Nick Becton, NT Lawrence Virgil, LB Kyle Knox, DB Terrence Frederick, DB Stanley Jean-Baptiste
Looks like Pierre Thomas will play today, but just how much is an open question. The Saints will use him primarily as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, so there may be some value in that role as a flex play in PPR leagues.
Ravens Inactives - WR Michael Campanaro, G/C Gino Gradkowski, DE DeAngelo Tyson, DT Terrence Cody, LB Arthur Brown, CB Rashaan Melvin
Lions Inactives – RB Reggie Bush, WR Ryan Broyles, DT Nick Fairley, DT L. Webster, QB Kellen Moore
Jaguars Inactives - RB Storm Johnson, T Sam Young, G Tyler Shatley, DE Chris Smith, LB Jeremiah George, CB Teddy Williams, CB Jeremy Harris
Redskins Inactives - QB Kirk Cousins, WR Leonard Hankerson, WR Aldrick Robinson, T Tyler Polumbus, G Spencer Long, DE Stephen Bowen, CB E.J. Biggers
Jordan Reed is going to play today but use him at your own peril. There is no guarantee he’ll make it through the game today.
Buccaneers Inactives - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE Luke Stocker, TE Brandon Myers, C Evan Dietrich-Smith, DT Clinton McDonald, LB Lavonte David, CB Crezdon Butler
Cameron Brate is the only healthy TE on the team right now but he’s not recommended for Fantasy use. The targets that would normally go to Seferian-Jenkins will likely be distributed among Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson and perhaps Louis Murphy
Bengals Inactives - RB Rex Burkhead, WR Greg Little, T Tanner Hawkinson, T Jamon Meredith, DE Margus Hunt, LB Vontaze Burfict, CB Chris Lewis-Harris
Bills Inactives - FB Frank Summers, WR Mike Williams, TE Chris Gragg, T Cyrus Kouandjio, DE Jarius Wynn, LB Randell Johnson, S Bacarri Rambo
Vikings Inactives - RB Jerick McKinnon, FB Zach Line, T J'Marcus Webb, G David Yankey, LB Michael Mauti, LB Brandon Watts, CB Shaun Prater
No McKinnon means we’ll see plenty of Matt Asiata, Joe Banyard and perhaps Ben Tate.
Week 13 is the final regular season matchup for the vast majority of Fantasy Football leagues out there; next week, we’ll be ranting about the playoffs. As we do every Sunday, we’ll run down the known injuries and game time decisions, and post all the game inactives when they become available, usually right around 11:30 am. Updates will appear at the top of the document, so check back frequently, as we’ll also pass on any news items that might make a difference in today’s games.
Players Already OUT Today – Montee Ball, Latavius Murray, Ronnie Hillman, Khiry Robinson, Dwayne Allen, Jordan Cameron, Jerick McKinnon
Game Time Decisions
Arian Foster – He practiced on a limited basis all week and the Texans seem optimistic that he’ll play today in a great matchup.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins – He has a back injury but is expected to play today.
Jordan Reed – Reed practiced on Friday and is expected to play, but he is a risky option since he’s had such a tough time staying healthy.
Larry Fitzgerald – There is a chance he’ll play today but his knee injury is not considered minor and he’s likely to be limited at best. Use another option if you can.
Shane Vereen – Vereen has an ankle injury but is expected to play. Using Vereen in Fantasy is another thing altogether because of Bill Belichick’s tendency to zig when you think he’ll zag. In other words, use Vereen at your own peril.
Brandon LaFell – LaFell’s shoulder has been bothering him for a while now. It shouldn’t keep him out of this game, though.
Roddy White – He’s a true game time decision. Having said that, it doesn’t look like he’s going to play and you wouldn’t want to use him anyway if he did.
Julius Thomas – He practiced on a limited basis this week but he’s another true game time decision.
