WEEK 5: Grading The 4 Worst ESPN Fantasy Football Projections
Hey guys! I'm back with more snarky ESPN fantasy football projection grades for Week 5. For quality control purposes, here's how we did last week:
- ESPN nailed Owen Daniels Week 4 by calling a three-point outing against the Panthers (he ended up with four despite managing a season high in receptions and yards). I had him getting a bit more than that. Point: ESPN.
- ESPN had the Ravens D/ST going for two points, which I thought was low. It was, they ended up with seven against a struggling Cam Newton. Point: SportsGrid.
- I might have been the only person on Earth who believed Geno Smith could post a slightly respectable day against the Lions -- he didn't. ESPN was spot on with their projection of six. Point: ESPN.
- In that same game, I thought Reggie Bush would continue to disappoint fantasy owners who drafted him in the top few rounds. ESPN had him going for 10 points. He ended up with five. Point: SportsGrid.
That brings my 2014 record of grading ESPN's projections to 7-9, which sounds kinda shitty, I know. The thing is, I've been correctly predicting the over/unders -- just not to the extent that I'm allowing myself to say "ESPN totally fucking blew it with this projection." From here on out, I promise to never be wrong, ever, ever again. Here's what I've got for you this week...
