Body Parts Are Washing Up On The Olympic Volleyball Beach In Rio
This was no boating accident!
It's 36 days until the Rio de Janiero Olympics begin, and world famous Copacabana Beach -- home to the beach volleyball events -- is all decked out and ready to go. That is, if you don't mind the body parts that are washing up there.
Chances are no one would no about this, but a street vendor mentioned it to a newspaper reporter, who then talked with a policeman who was guarding the perimeter pf the scene. The body appeared to be mutilated, said Reuters.
The Olympic Committee recently got an $895 million loan to pay for services, assuring that police and transportation workers would get paid. Reuters:
Earlier this week, police and firemen demonstrated at Rio’s international airport, protesting their missed wages and greeting arriving passengers with a sign reading “Welcome to Hell.”
