A Second-Tier English Soccer Team Just Hired A Coach With Twitter Tourette’s
Well, this should be fun. Wigan Athletic, which resides in the Football League Championship (second tier) of English soccer, has a new coach -- a guy named Malky Mackay, who's quite the controversial chap over there. Much rending of garments and gnashing of teeth over this hire, because Mackay is currently under investigation by the Football Association for being a racist douchebag.
And when we say that, we're being rather kind. Observe:

Yeah, and that's only a small sample of his greatest work. Not sure that even one of those tweets would pass the Roger Goodell smell test on a potential coaching hire.
FIFA, Ched Evans, Malky Mackay...football really is in its own hermetically sealed moral vacuum.

Mackay, who comes over from Cardiff City, where he was fired after a dispute with the owner, is a former Premiere League player and member of the Scottish National Team.
Many are slamming the decision to hire Mackay before the FA has finished its investigation. English pro-diversity organization Kick It Out said today in a statement:
"The FA now needs to move swiftly to let everybody know whether they agree with Wigan's position or whether they will reinforce their own zero-tolerance stance on all such matters of equality and diversity."
Malky Mackay must be laughing all the way to the bank. Self confessed racist and he still walks into job paying him thousands a week!
