If your goal as a team is to look like a trip to the butcher shop, with the fleshy red musculature of your body open to the elements, then this uniform pretty much gets it right. Spanish club Deportivo Palencia Balompié is very proud of its “inside-out” unis, which they say “were designed to look like the soft interior portion of human muscle.”

Here’s where it gets weird: the goalies’ muscles are blue.
Italian Sportswear company Kappa designed the uniforms in preparation of the team’s upcoming playoff run in which they will look to be promoted to a higher division.
According to The Local, the skinless look was meant to be a visual representation of the phrase “give skin” which means to give one’s all.
