Adorable USWNT Fans At World Cup Parade Highlight The Impact Of Their WC Victory
As the United States Women's National Team flotilla makes it's way through lower Manhattan, you may or may not be noticing the absolutely shocking number of people that are there cheering them on. And it's not just that run-of-the-mill tourist crowd you'd normally see at a Times Square comedy show -- these are actual fans. Big fans. Huge fans of all ages. Men, women, boys, girls, pets, robots; supporters are coming out of the woodwork to stand in the street on and Friday afternoon and celebrate the USWNT's third World Cup victory. One pair in particular were very excited to see their idols cruise by.
Like, really excited.
"I love Hope Solo!" the girls screamed into WNYW's Rosanna Scotto's microphone. "I love her!"
"You guys are soccer players, right?" Scotto asked.
"No, we run track."
Someone give these girls a microphone and get them up on a float, ASAP.
You can catch the rest of the parade, and the ensuing ceremony at City Hall, here.
