Dutch Soccer Ultras Have A Good Ol’ Fashioned 20-On-20 Brawl
When you hear "Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar," you probably think about their epic 1976 Eredivisie championship match that was decided when Ergmo Salzusi's free kick sailed over the keeper's head and into the top corner of the net during stoppage time. The best part about that game, however, was the fact that it never happened -- Ergmo Salzusi is not a real person -- but it sounded like it could've been, right? Admit it, you had no idea what Feyenoord or AZ Alkmaar were before reading this -- I assumed they were planets from Rogue One -- but now's a chance for us all to familiarize ourselves with these two clubs on a very intimate level.
The teams' most bloodthirsty paramilitary Hooligan groups met up in a vacant lot near the Alkmaar stadium and proceeded to punch and kick each other senseless. Why? Because soccer is so boring that you need to occasionally reenact prehistoric tribal wars to keep things interesting.
