French Lifeguard Says She’s The One Serenaded By Rowdy Irish Soccer Fans At Euro 16
As we learned in Braveheart, one never knows what the Irish will do.
We've heard sad tales lately of Russian and English hooligans making life miserable for soccer fans in Europe, so we kind of needed this. Just after a Euro 16 match between Ireland and Belgium in Bordeaux, France, on Saturday, a female spectator was surrounded by Irish fans and a song broke out. The young woman was serenaded by the group, beginning with You're Too Good To Be True. The video quickly went viral.
Now Carla Roméra, a French lifeguard, has stepped forward to say that she was the woman in the video.
Roméra has an Instagram account that seems to indicate that she's looking to get into modeling, and she gets our recommendation.
Ireland lost the game, 3-0, by the way -- which makes the demeanor of their fans even more refreshing.
