Mexico Soccer Coach Miguel Herrera Punched A Reporter At The Philly Airport, Apparently

Mexico's excitable national team soccer coach Miguel Herrera -- who has given us some of the greatest gifs of our time -- is apparently not putting on an act. He really is a combination of Buddy Ryan and Chris Farley, at least according to some observers at the Philadelphia airport last night.
Herrera, whose team had just won the Gold Cup in Philadelphia with a 3-1 victory over Jamaica, allegedly punched popular Mexican TV journalist Christian Martinoli in the throat for no other reason than the guy was standing in line waiting for his flight. From 101GreatGoals:
According to TV Azteca reporter David Medrano, el Piojo Herrera punched popular Martinoli in the neck while he was waiting in line at the airport. Piojo also apparently told Martinoli to expect that type of smack down from now on if they ever run into each other. Making things even more dramatic, La Pioja – Herrera’s daughter – is reported to have slapped former player-turned commentator Luis Garcia.
Herrera has had it in for TV Azteca's Martinoli for some time now, after the reporter had made some unkind remarks about his coaching on TV.
So Herrera's status may be in jeopardy as Mexico prepares to meet the U.S. in a playoff in Pasadena on Oct. 9, with the winner advancing to represent CONCACAF at the Confederations Cup in Russia in 2017.
As @soccercanales said... This could be the end of Miguel Herrera as national team coach.
It's been a summer of controversy for Mexico's national team, as its fans have been engaged in loutish behavior at several U.S. venues. Among the misdeeds have been showering the field with trash during play, and shouting homophobic chants during penalty kicks.
If Herrera goes, the world is going to lose one of its most popular memes.
