This Is Still The Most Charming Live Sports TV Blooper Of All Time

Every once in a while, a great viral video or hidden internet gem resurfaces and makes the rounds to delight us all over again. That's what happened with this clip - originally posted back in 2010 and recently shared again on reddit - of Chris Kamara, reporting live from a Portsmouth vs. Blackburn soccer match.
Kamara, the longtime pro soccer player-turned-manager-turned-broadcaster, was on the sidelines for the match when his colleagues on Sky Sports' 'Soccer Saturday' threw to him to learn the details of a red card sendoff. Let's just say he wasn't exactly on his A-game that particular afternoon.
The man is so charming that it's hard to tell if he's serious or not at first, but it becomes evident quite quickly that Kamara just has no clue what's happening. What makes the moment so great, though, is his honesty and amusement at his own ineptitude.
Here he is re-living the viral moment during an appearance on an English daytime talk show in 2016, in which he tells the story of how his bosses went from dismayed over the mishap to quite pleased after the video became an overnight sensation.
God bless YouTube for keeping these moments alive.
