Impact Wrestling Brings Back Don West To Do What Don West Does Best
In its infancy, TNA wrestling was a fun, niche wrestling company. If you weren't into the superstars of WWE, you could turn to TNA to get your alternative wrestling fix. Featuring former WWE stars like Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett, along with up and comers like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, TNA was able to reach the point where they were considered WWE's main competition. The marketing budget was obviously small for the start up, so TNA smartly employed the biggest marketing genius they could find.
Don West worked for TNA from 2002 through 2012, schilling product both on screen and off screen. For much of that time, West was also the company's color commentator, promoting the wrestlers and the storylines, much like he would promote the hottest new item in the company's store. West was replaced on the air in 2009 and left the company altogether in 2012, moving on to work in sales for a Washington based hockey team. When TNA officially became Impact Wrestling, many fans wondered whatever happened to West and where he'd gone. Well as suddenly as he departed, West is back.
In a brand new video released by Impact Wrestling, West returns in full sell mode, offering his "brown paper bag" special. The special, in the span of the three minute video, went from offering a few DVDs, to a ton more. The coolest thing about the offer is that they aren't just offering deals for current Impact Wrestling superstars. The offer includes footage of current WWE superstars like Bobby Roode and Styles and shirts of wrestlers like new WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle and The Dudley Boys (Team 3D).
If you're a fan of wrestling and are a gear or DVD collector, we highly recommend getting in on this ridiculous deal. If only because you wouldn't want to let Don West down would you?
